Five main stages of vulvar
cancer include:
- Stage 0:
- Cancer is limited only in the outer layers of skin
- Stage 1:
- Cancer is limited to the vulva and surrounding skin, and measures less than 2 cm in size
- Stage 2:
- Cancer is limited to the vulva and surrounding skin, but the tumor is greater than 2 cm in size
- Stage 3:
- Cancer has spread to the vagina, urethra, anus, or the lymph nodes in the groin
- Stage 4:
- Cancer has spread to the bladder, bowel, pelvic bone, pelvic lymph nodes, or other parts of the body
