What is vulvar cancer?
A woman with vulvar cancer has abnormal cells in the labia, vagina or clitoris that multiply out of control. These cells can form tumors and spread to other parts of the body. The cause for vulvar cancer is unknown, but genetics may play a role in determining risk. About 2 out of every 100,000 women are diagnosed with vulvar cancer in the US each year. Images
