Vision Impairment Nearsightedness Underlying Cause
Myopia is caused by an eyeball that is too long, or by a lens that is functioning improperly. Myopia tends to occur as the eye grows during adolescence. This causes images come into focus in front of the retina, rather on the surface of the retina.
