Viral Exanthem Roseola Transmission
The roseola virus is present in the saliva of infected individuals. Contact with the saliva may spread the illness. Also, those with roseola release the virus into the air on droplets of mucus when they sneeze or cough. The virus may enter the lungs of others when they inhale the droplets.
