What is uterine cancer?
A woman with uterine cancer has abnormal cells in the uterus that multiply out of control. These cells can form tumors and spread to other parts of the body. The exact cause for uterine cancer is unknown, but genetics may play a role in determining risk. About 25 out of every 100,000 women develop uterine cancer each year in the US.
