Prevention of popliteus tendinitis includes:

  • Avoid running on hard surfaces.
  • Avoid running on hills:
    • Particularly downhill
  • Avoid climbing.
  • Avoid jumping.
  • Stretch before exercise.
    • Perform knee stretches.
  • Warm up properly before exercise.
  • Stretch after exercise.
