Subcutaneous Nodules Evaluation
The evaluation of subcutaneous nodules begins with a history and physical exam. Images

Physical findings of a subcutaneous nodule may include:
  • Soft lump under the skin
  • Firm lump under the skin
  • Tender lump under the skin
  • Lump may be freely movable beneath the skin
  • Lump may be attached to the skin
Tests are not necessary to make the diagnosis of a subcutaneous nodule.
