Stye Evaluation
The evaluation of a stye begins with a history and physical exam. Images

Physical findings in someone with a stye may include:
  • Red, painful swollen lump on the eyelid: Images
    • Located close to the eyelashes
  • Eyelid tenderness
Tests are not required to make the diagnosis of a stye.
