Physical findings in someone with a ruptured globe may include:

• Abnormal pupil
• Hyphema:
• Bleeding inside the eye
• Blood covers the pupil
• Eye redness:
• Bleeding from the white part of the eye
• Bruised eye
• Vision change:
• Blurry vision
• Loss of vision
• Double vision
• Fluid draining from the eye
• Inability to gaze upward with the eye
• Due to a blowout fracture of the orbit

Testing may be necessary to evaluate a ruptured globe.

Tests that may be used to evaluate a ruptured globe include:

• Bone x-rays of the orbit: excludes an orbital floor fracture
• Coagulation profile
• CT scanning of the orbit
• MRI scanning of the orbit
