Rotator Cuff Tear Definition
Common names:
A person with rotator cuff tear has torn some of the tendons that surround the shoulder joint. The rotator cuff consists of four muscles and their tendons. These muscles originate from the scapula and form a single, large tendon that attaches to the humerus bone.
The rotator cuff surrounds the top and back of the shoulder. The tendon holds the head of the humerus in the glenoid. ![]() Continue to Rotator Cuff Tear Incidence
