What is rhinorrhea?
A person with rhinorrhea has a runny nose, usually caused by irritation or inflammation of the nasal passages. The mucus that drains from the nose may be clear, green, yellow or brown.

What are the symptoms of rhinorrhea?
Symptoms that may occur with rhinorrhea include sinus congestion, sneezing, nosebleeds, sore throat, fever, ear pain, headache, facial pain, and difficulty breathing through the nose.

How does the doctor treat rhinorrhea?
Treatment for rhinorrhea depends on the underlying cause. Usually, rhinorrhea does not require treatment.
