Additional home care for joint pain may include:
  • Avoid prolonged standing.
  • Avoid remaining in one position.
  • Rest painful joints:
    • Use a walker.
    • Use crutches.
    • Use a cane.
  • Apply warm compresses for stiffness:
    • Apply for 20-30 minutes, every 1-2 hours.
  • Apply nonprescription pain rubs to painful joints:
    • ArthriCare
    • Arthritis Pain Relieving Rub
    • Aspercreme
    • Ben-Gay
    • Capzasin-HP
    • Sportscreme
Additional home care for eye irritation may include:
  • Clean your eyelashes gently with a warm wet compress.
  • Wash out your eyes several times per day.
    • Use saline eye wash.
