A person with psychosis has difficulty with the perception of reality, usually resulting in hallucinations or delusions. Delusions are unrealistic ideas or plans. Hallucinations are false perceptions of things that do not exist

Hallucinations include
  • Visual hallucinations:
    • Seeing things that do not exist
  • Auditory hallucinations:
    • Hearing sounds or voices that do not exist
