Dilation of the cervix

Can only be detected on physical examination

Worsening low back pain
Ruptured membranes:

Sudden gush of clear fluid from the vagina

Vaginal bleeding in pregnancy:

Bloody show: bloody mucus is expelled from the vagina

Vaginal discharge in pregnancy:

Mucus plug is expelled from the vagina

Worsening contractions
