Peyronie's Disease Underlying Cause
The cause of Peyronie's disease is unknown. There is some evidence that an injury to the penis may cause scarring of the small blood vessels inside the penis. This may interrupt the normal blood flow to the penis during an erection, resulting in pain and deformity of the penis.
