Home care for perianal
abscess
includes:
Drink plenty of fluids.
Eat a
high fiber diet
Take a fiber supplement:
Metamucil
Take stool softeners.
Try not to strain during bowel movements.
Wipe gently after a bowel movement:
Use a soft, moist toilet paper or a baby wipe.
Take warm baths for 20 minutes, 3 times per day.
Take prescribed medicines as directed.
Acetaminophen
for pain
Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory medications
for pain:
Ibuprofen
Naproxen
