• Serum pregnancy test
• Complete blood count
• Follicle stimulating hormone level
• Luteinizing hormone level

Additional tests that may be used to evaluate ovarian torsion include:

• Pelvic ultrasound
• The most common test used to evaluate ovarian torsion
• CT scanning of the abdomen and pelvis
• MRI scan of the abdomen
