Treatment for neck pain depends on the underlying cause. Treatment may include cold compresses, warm compresses, rest, oral fluids, antibiotics, a cervical collar, narcotic pain medications, nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory medications, muscle relaxants, and surgery.
