Symptoms of toxic megacolon include:
- Abdominal pain:
- Pain is usually located throughout the abdomen
- Abdominal tenderness
- Abdominal swelling
- Blood in the stool:
Loss of fluids from vomiting and diarrhea in those with toxic megacolon may cause dehydration.
