Lymphadenitis Home Care: Warning Signs

Notify your doctor if you have lymphadenitis and any of the following:

Red streaks in the skin:

Lymphangitis of the arm
Lymphangitis of the back of the leg
Lymphangitis of the hand from a finger wound

Swollen lymph nodes in the groin with skin redness
Worsening lymph node swelling
Worsening pain, swelling and redness around a lymph gland
No improvement after treatment with antibiotics for 3 days
Fever over 102 degrees F (38.8 C)
Repeated vomiting
