- Lithotripsy for kidney stones:
- High frequency sound waves break up stones in the kidneys
- Ureteroscopy for kidney stones:
- A flexible fiberoptic tube is inserted into the bladder, advanced through the ureter, and then to the kidney
- The stone is removed with the endoscope
