  • Drink plenty of water.
  • Do not smoke.
  • Avoid exposure to secondary smoke.
  • Use a cool mist humidifier in the bedroom.
    • To keep the throat and air passageways moist
  • Use a saline nasal spray.
    • To keep the nose moist
  • If you have asthma, take full doses of your regular medications.
