Symptoms of interstitial cystitis include cramping lower abdominal pain that comes and goes. Additional symptoms of interstitial cystitis include increased frequency of urination, urinary urgency, and bladder pain.

How does the doctor treat interstitial cystitis?
There is no cure for interstitial cystitis. Treatment for interstitial cystitis may include Kegel exercises, oral medications, medicated bladder rinses, and nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory medications for pain.
