What is indigestion?
A person with indigestion has mild discomfort in the stomach or upper abdomen after eating. Although indigestion may be caused by poor digestion, it is usually caused by eating a large meal too quickly.

What are the symptoms of indigestion?
Symptoms that occur with indigestion include heartburn, nausea, bloating, belching, and abdominal fullness.

How does the doctor treat indigestion?
Minor indigestion can usually be treated safely at home. Treatment for indigestion may include antacids and medications that block the production of acid in the stomach.
