Impacted Rectum Underlying Cause
Fecal impaction is usually a result of constipation. The most common cause of constipation is the lack of liquids or fiber in the diet. Constipation is common in those who are inactive, and in the elderly. Many medications, such as antacids, antihistamines and antidepressants, can cause constipation.
