An evaluation of ichthyosis begins with a history and physical examination.
The diagnosis is usually made during physical exam.
Physical findings in someone with ichthyosis include:
- Scaly skin
- Very dry skin
Tests are rarely required. There are no blood tests to diagnose ichthyosis.
