Hip Fracture Home Care: Warning Signs

Notify your doctor if you have a hip fracture and any of the following:

Difficulty breathing
Inability to move the hip joint
Sudden inability to stand
Leg swelling (unilateral)
Leg weakness (unilateral)
Leg numbness(unilateral)
Redness of the skin over the hip
Fever over 101 degrees F (38.3 C)
Worsening hip pain
Worsening knee pain
Worsening hip swelling
