High Serum Cholesterol Symptoms

A high cholesterol level does not cause symptoms. Rarely, tiny fatty tumors can form on the skin, which contain cholesterol.

High cholesterol accelerates the process of atherosclerosis, which can cause symptoms of heart disease, stroke or peripheral vascular disease.
