High Pituitary Hormones Evaluation
The evaluation of hyperpituitarism begins with a history and physical exam.
Physical findings in someone with hyperpituitarism depend on the type of hormone that is over-produced by the pituitary gland.
Tests that may be used to evaluate hyperpituitarism include:
- Serum prolactin level
- Serum thyrotropin releasing hormone level
- Serum adrenocorticotropic hormone level
- Serum cortisol level
- Serum growth hormone level
