Hamstring Strain Types

The three main types of hamstring strain include:

  • Grade 1 strain:
    • Stretching injury without tearing of the muscle
  • Grade 2 strain:
    • Partial tearing of muscle
  • Grade 3 strain:
    • Complete rupture of the muscle
