Notify your doctor if you have a Giardia infection and any of the following:

Stool contains blood
Stool that contains pus or mucus
Diarrhea that persists for longer than 2 weeks
Fever over 102 degrees F (38.8 C)
Fever over 100.4 degrees F (38 C) in infants
Pain during urination
Worsening abdominal pain
Repeated vomiting
Unresponsiveness
Confusion
Fainting
Urinating less than three times per day
