  • Outcome is judged by cancer stage and expressed in terms of 5 year survival:
    • Stage 1: 5-year survival is about 70-85%
    • Stage 2: 5-year survival is about 25%
    • Stage 3: 5-year survival is about 12%
    • Stage 4: 5-year survival is about 2%
