Fish Skin Disease Symptoms

Symptoms of ichthyosis may include:

  • Dry, scaly skin:
    • Tile-like scales on the skin
    • Scales may be white to gray-brown in appearance
    • Most common on the legs
    • May also involve the hands, arms and trunk
    • Fine white lines on the palms of the hands
    • May cause deep painful cracks in the palms and soles
    • Worse in the winter
    • Worse in a dry climate
  • Dry and flaky scalp
  • Brittle nails
