A person with an entropion has an eyelid that has folded inward, toward the surface of the eye. As a result, the eyelashes rub against the surface of the eye. Images

Entropion is most common in the elderly, as the muscles and skin of the eyelid weaken. Common symptoms include eye irritation, tearing and redness.
