What are endometrial polyps?
A woman with endometrial polyps has one or more abnormal growths in the lining of the uterus. A uterine polyp is a ball of tissue that is attached to the lining of the uterus by a stalk. Endometrial polyps cause abnormal vaginal bleeding. About 30 percent of women between the ages of 30 and 50 have endometrial polyps.
