Drool Dermatitis Home Care

Home care for drool dermatitis includes:

  • Gently clean the skin around the face twice a day.
  • Apply a thin layer of petroleum jelly to the skin around the mouth.
  • Do not scratch the irritated skin.

Drool Dermatitis Warning Signs

Notify your doctor if you have drool dermatitis and any of the following:

  • Rash spreads to other parts of the face
  • Skin cracks and bleeds
  • Fever
  • Skin redness and pain
  • Yellow of brown scabs form over the rash
