Cyst Bone Symptoms
Most children will have no symptoms from a bone cyst. Sometimes a cyst is found on an x-ray taken for another reason.
Bone cysts can result in loss of bone tissue. This may cause a structural weakening in the bone. When the bone becomes too weak, the bone may fracture. This is referred to as a pathologic fracture. About 65 percent of bone cysts are discovered when a fracture occurs after a minor injury.
