Complications of Cushing's syndrome include:
The abrupt withdrawal of adrenal hormones after long-term use can cause a life-threatening condition known as adrenal crisis. Adrenal crisis occurs because the adrenal gland fails to produce enough glucocorticoids to maintain normal blood pressure.
