Symptoms of conjunctivitis may include:

• Increased tearing
• Eye redness
• Eye discharge:
• Clear or green mucus draining from the eye
• Eyelids are stuck together upon waking

• Burning sensation in the eye
• Sensation that sand is in the eye
• Sensation that there is an object in the eye
• Sensitivity to bright light
