Coagulopathy Evaluation

The evaluation of coagulopathy begins with a history and physical exam.

Physical findings of coagulopathy may include:

Bleeding from the gums
Blood in the stool
Bruises
Rashes that look like broken blood vessels in the skin or bruises
Nosebleed
Pale skin
Prolonged bleeding from minor wounds

Tests are usually necessary to evaluate coagulopathy.
