Recommended Evaluations for Healthy Children 2 to 6 YearsThere are a number of evaluations and preventive treatments that should be performed during this period of childhood to assure optimal health.
Tests to be performed at
every physician visit:- Height and Weight
- Useful to detect general development

- Urinalysis


Tests to be performed
every 6-12 months:- Dental exam

Tests to be performed
every 1-2 years:- History and Physical Examination

- Erythrocyte protoporphyrin

Tests to be performed
every 3-5 years:Tests to be performed
once a year after the age of 4:- Blood pressure

- Hearing test
- Useful to detect a hearing deficit
Tests to be performed at
the physician's discretion:Vaccines to be given
once from age 4-6 years:- DTP
- MMR
- IPV
- given for the prevention of inactivated polio
