Physical findings in a person with a cerebral aneurysm may include:

• Abnormal eye movements
• Abnormal pupils
• Confusion
• Difficulty speaking
• Difficulty walking
• Excessive sleepiness
• Lethargy:
• A condition of excessive sleepiness or drowsiness.
• Memory problems
• Muscle weakness
• Numbness
• Papilledema:
• Swelling around the optic nerve in the back of the eye
• Weakness on one side of the body
• Numbness on one side of the body

Tests that may be used to evaluate cerebral aneurysm include:

• CT scanning of the brain
• MRI scan of the brain
• Lumbar puncture
• Xanthochromia indicates the presence of bleeding into the CSF
• Cerebral angiogram
• CT angiography of the brain
• MRI angiography
