The evaluation of a cerebellar hemorrhage begins with a history and physical exam. Images

Physical findings in a person with a cerebellar hemorrhage may include:
  • Abnormal eye movements:
    • Nystagmus
    • Eyes not moving in unison
  • Abnormal pupils:
    • Pupils do not respond to light appropriately
  • Facial weakness
  • Neck pain with flexion Images
  • Confusion
  • Difficulty with balance
  • Coordination problems
  • Difficulty walking
  • Excessive sleepiness
  • Lethargy:
    • A condition of excessive sleepiness or drowsiness.
  • Papilledema:
    • Swelling around the optic nerve in the back of the eye Images
