Prevention of periorbital cellulitis includes:

  • Childhood HIB vaccine:
    • Prevents periorbital cellulitis due to Haemophilus influenza bacterial infection in children.
  • Avoid injury to the skin around the eye.
  • Avoid swimming if you have an injury to the skin around the eye.
