Common names:
A person with Burkitt's lymphoma has abnormal cells in the lymph nodes or spleen that multiply out of control. These cells can form tumors and spread to other parts of the body.
![]() Burkitt lymphoma is caused by the overproduction of a white blood cell, called a B-lymphocyte. The most common symptom includes nontender, swollen lymph glands under the jaw.
