A male with hematospermia has blood in the semen. Hematospermia is uncommon, but may occur at any age after puberty. Most cases of hematospermia resolve without treatment and an underlying cause is not found. Possible causes of hematospermia include a bladder infection, prostatitis, epididymitis, and prostate cancer.
