Blepharitis Evaluation
The evaluation of blepharitis begins with a medical history and eye examination. Images

Physical findings in those with blepharitis include:
  • Swelling and redness of the eyelid edges Images
  • Scaly eyelids
  • Misdirection of eyelashes
  • Scarring of the lid margins
  • Thick coating on the lids Images
  • Ulcers at the base of the eyelashes Images
  • A painless, swollen lump in the eyelid Images
The diagnosis of a blepharitis does not require testing.
