Most bladder stones cause no symptoms at all. A bladder stone can cause symptoms when it irritates the inner lining of the bladder or it blocks the flow of urine in or out of the bladder.

When symptoms occur they may include:

• Urinary urgency
• Urinary frequency
• Difficulty urinating
• Interrupted urine stream
• Hematuria
• Lower abdominal pain
• Dark colored urine

Some may develop symptoms of a urinary tract infection causing:

• Pain during urination
• Fever
• Nausea
