Bladder Infection Treatment: Antibiotics

Women who have bladder infections and who are not pregnant, receive antibiotics for one to three days. Pregnant women and males require antibiotic therapy for a longer period.

Antibiotic medications include:

Trimethoprim-sulfamethoxazole (Bactrim, Septra)
Fluoroquinolones:

Fosfomycin (Monurol)
