Bartholin's Cyst Anatomy
To better understand Bartholin's cyst, it helps to understand the anatomy of the vagina.

Vaginal Anatomy
The Bartholin's glands secrete a fluid that keeps the vaginal lining moist. They are located just inside and to either side of the vaginal opening in the labia.Images

The vagina is a short, muscular tube that connects the external genitalia to the cervix and uterus. The external genitalia include the vulva (labia) and clitoris.
